Emily's debut novel, DWELLING, is forthcoming on Farrar, Straus & Giroux.
DWELLING is a late capitalist folk fairy tale about a young woman’s search for home, following Evie Cavallo from a mass eviction crisis in New York to the mysterious, overheated town of Gulluck, Texas, where the townsfolk habitually congregate around a mythic giant fish and where the only available real estate happens to be a very large shoe.
Part fairy tale, part hero's journey, and part satire of the state of housing and work, DWELLING will be published in August 2025.
